The PS5 Slim Disk Drive Might Have Some Issues…
Sony's smaller PlayStation 5 can swap its disc drive, but a leak suggests an internet connection is needed for the Blu-Ray player's initial setup, sparking concerns about future disc playability. It's unclear if this requirement is one-time or recurring. This may be related to compliance with copyright laws. The slim PS5 is set to release on November 8, priced at $500 for the standard model, $450 for the all-digital version, and $80 for a stand-alone disc drive. Sony has not commented on the leak.
